St. Camillus’s Intergenerational Mobility Program provides opportunities for older adults to participate in a sports training program specifically designed to meet their personal needs and reflective of their leisure interests. The pilot initiative pairs older adults who are at risk of falling with students from Marquette University and Wisconsin Lutheran College. The goal of the program is to improve the residents’ strength and endurance, gain confidence, provide social opportunities and connections, and to decrease falls.

Staff throughout campus and family come to support the program and the accomplishments of the latest graduating class achieved through a Red Carpet event. Residents from Skilled Care, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Independent Living, walk in celebration for their completion of the 12-week program. The purpose of this event is to celebrate both participants and students for their great accomplishments.
