Our community gathered to celebrate the opening and blessing of our brand new butterfly garden, made possible by the Order of St. Camillus Foundation. Residents, family members, and employees released live Painted Lady butterflies and watched them take their first flight around the space that will now be their home.
This garden is more than a beautiful space — it's helping preserve the monarch population. In the weeks leading up to the official celebration, residents gathered to release monarchs we raised ourselves, right as they hatched. Third grade students from Tonawanda Elementary School also lent a hand, planting flowers and creating the butterfly mural that sits in the center of the garden.
We can't wait to see how it blooms in the years to come!
