St. Camillus announces being the recipient of close to $140,000 of Wisconsin Fast Forward Grants by the Department of Workforce Development (DWD). DWD awards almost $1.7 million in Wisconsin Fast Forward worker training grants.
The amount of $62,370 was granted for a partnership with LifeCamp to offer a manager training program for up to 60 incumbent employees. LifeCamp’s mission is to educate, motivate, and inspire individuals by offering the support needed to lead effectively in the workplace.
An additional award of $77,139 was received to support the Next Steps for Caregivers’ training initiatives. The grant dollars will help fund several projects to support St. Camillus caregivers’ professional development, including the Nurse Aide Training Program, offered in partnership with Cinematic Health Education. Cinematic Health Education focuses on using story-based content to enhance training for caregivers in healthcare. The dollars will also fund a new online training series for up to 50 employees to become Certified Alzheimer’s Caregivers through the National Certification Board for Alzheimer Care.
To qualify, employers must meet these minimum requirements to receive funding:
