Hello…Happy Summertime! Have you noticed the Eyewear collection baskets at the front desk? This month’s health topic is Eye Health. Please take a moment to look through the Vision Health information rack located in the hallway outside the Atrium Meeting Room. You are welcome to take any information that suits you.

We have the opportunity to help others improve their vision by sharing (donating) our no longer worn eyeglasses, reading glasses and sunglasses. There are collection bins located at the front desk and in the Skilled Care / Assisted Living areas. New and used “readers” of all strengths are also appreciated. At the end of June, all collected eyewear will be donated to Hearts In Motion. HIM is a not for profit organization that brings quality medical, dental, and vision care to those living marginalized lives in central and southern Guatemala. Hearts in Motion enhances the lives of vulnerable Guatemalans through volunteer missionaries that provide construction, education and health / medical services. They operate a children’s home and nutrition center, a senior center and a rehabilitation center as well as having educational sponsorship programs.

Have you met Jenny our new Fitness instructor? She is here Monday-Thursday and offers Steady Steps, Strong Seniors/Strong Bones, Chair Boxing and Silver Sneakers Chair Yoga. Her classes are inspiring and fun. Hope you can join her and check them out. Do you have a class you would like her to teach? Let’s talk about it.

• Metta Massage comes to San Camillo the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. To secure your appointment call me at 259-4681. This service is available to residents, family and staff. Ben is willing to make house calls. If this is something you are interested in call me. Payment is made directly to Metta Massage.
• I still need YOU. We have a few more appointments for the Carroll University School of Physical Therapy Wellness Clinic. This is a great way to get a FREE Physical Therapy consultation and help a student develop their skills. One of your neighbors who recently attending the clinic said “It was great! And I am even more thrilled to learn I am not as bad as I thought!” Appointments are needed so call me 259-4681.
• Hearing aid tune-ups (July 20) are open for everyone. Reservations suggested but not required.
