Organizations and individuals near and far spread holiday cheer!
St. Camillus Life Plan Community receives outpouring of holiday wishes from organizations and individuals near and far.
It is typical for St. Camillus to receive holiday cards but this year, the donations were in abundance. St. Camillus received Christmas cards and holiday letters from various groups including: Girl Scout Troop #10706 in Wauwatosa, WI, Nathan Hale Junior Council in West Allis, WI, Timeslips.org in Gretna, LA, Love for the Elderly in Cleveland, OH, Beta Epsilon Chapter of Gamma Phil Beta Sorority at Miami University of Ohio and from other private caring citizens.
Example messages included:
“We wish you good health and happiness this Christmas season. You are loved!”
“We wanted to send something to brighten your day and remind you that you are remembered!”
Cards were dispersed over Christmas week for residents to enjoy. The San Camillo Operations Team spent Wednesday afternoon caroling throughout the hallways while delivering special treats including Christmas candy, handwritten letters, prayers and warm spiced wine. On Christmas Eve, all resident meals were accompanied with a holiday card on their trays
“We are so grateful to all who have thought of our residents and took the time to create something meaningful for them during the Christmas season. With COVID-19 guidelines in place, these notes, cards and letters brought extra holiday cheer to our residents during this special time of year.” - Julie Leveritt, Independent Living Administrator
