Honoring Our Veterans

Quilts of Honor presentations

St. Camillus Life Plan Community honors their Assisted Living Veterans through a partnership with Quilts of Honor.

A Quilts of Honor program will take place on Friday, May 13th at 2pm for 13 St. Camillus Assisted Living Veterans. Combined, the group of Veterans served in World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam War with over 35 years of service. During the program, there will be a special presentation and each Veteran will be gifted a handmade patriotic quilt.

The mission of Quilts of Honor is “to bestow a universal symbol and token of thanks, solace and remembrance to those who serve in harm’s way to protect and defend our lives and freedoms. Quilts of Honor are made by the loving hands of countless volunteers who wish to thank those who served and to honor their service and sacrifice.”  Quilts of Honor

“We are excited to offer this unique program to our Veterans.  This is just one way for us to show our appreciation and gratitude for their years of service and sacrifice.” - Laurie Stout, Assisted Living Recreation Manager

St. Camillus will be featuring various patriotic programs throughout the month of May across campus.  If you would like to learn more about St. Camillus Life Plan Community, please call 414-259-6310.
