A small appreciation program, became a huge display of gratitude...
St. Camillus Life Plan Community honors and celebrates their extraordinary employees and residents through their new Hero program.
At the end of April, posters and emails went out to staff members and families to celebrate a team member by sharing their hero story. Within a few days, email and paper nominations flooded in and what was anticipated to be a small appreciation program, turned into a huge display of gratitude for employees and residents campus wide.
Every morning Kevin Schwab, St. Camillus CEO, announces 3 hero nominees. Recipients receive a personalized card, hero mug, and get their picture taken for the St. Camillus Facebook page. The first group of heroes was announced on April 28th and nominations continue to come in each day. Currently there have been 170 employee nominations and 24 residents nominations.
“During this time of hardship, there many people giving their best every day to help wherever they are needed. It was great to see some of our residents get nominated as they have also gone above and beyond to help in any way they can.“ - Julie Leveritt, Independent Living Administrator
