Jesuit Community hosts Campion High School reunion
This month St. Camillus’ Jesuit Residence hosted a Campion High School 1957 Class Reunion. Fr. William Kurz, S.J. is one of 55 retired Jesuit priests who resides in the Jesuit Community and graduated from Campion High School in Prairie du Chien, WI (later renamed Campion Jesuit High School). Many of the Jesuit priests living at the Jesuit Community also graduated from Campion High School or taught there, including Fr. Joseph Egan, who will celebrate his 100th birthday this month.
The Class of 1957 reunion included 20 guests and began in the Jesuit Community. A zoom call with classmates who could not attend was arranged. Fr. Kurz toured the Jesuit Residence, followed by an afternoon Mass. The reunion then moved to the East Residence where Executive Chef Giuseppe Asciutto prepared a special dinner in the private dining room of their fine dining restaurant, Mansfelds.
