To our residents and family members:
We have been working closely with the local and federal authorities, in addition to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to help in stopping the spread of the COVID-19 virus. We want to inform you that on March 25, 2020, we received confirmation that a resident from our Independent Living building had tested positive with COVID-19. The resident was in quarantine since March 18th due to traveling out of state and went to the hospital for unrelated symptoms on March 23rd. While at the hospital, the resident was diagnosed with COVID-19. Due to restrictions already in place, no residents or staff were exposed. The CDC defines exposure as contact of 6 feet or closer for a continuous duration of 10 minutes.
The health and safety of our residents and staff is our top priority. We are working diligently to protect our community from the COVID-19 virus. St. Camillus has been and will continue to implement the heightened protocol that is recommended from our local health officials and the CDC.
We encourage you to call St. Camillus for updates on the status of your loved one. With the current visiting restrictions, we understand the concern and fear while being away from those you care about.
We know this is a very difficult time for everyone. We will continue to provide regular updates as we have them and encourage you to continue to help us in stopping the spread of this virus.
