St. Camillus continues to implement imperative guidelines to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. As of today, March 31, 2020, we do not have any positive COVID-19 cases in our community. Our independent living resident who tested positive for COVID-19 earlier last week in the hospital chose to continue to quarantine off campus at a family member’s residence once released. We wish our resident and their family a speedy recovery.
Below are a few updates since our last correspondence:
Meanwhile, our residents are keeping busy at St. Camillus. We wanted to share a few highlights from last week:
One of our Memory Care residents celebrated her 93rd birthday! Our Music Therapist played the saxophone for her while a small group sang ‘When Irish eyes are smiling.”
Our Independent Living administration delivered ice cream sundaes to all independent living residents for a special treat in the afternoon. Residents enjoyed seeing their smiling faces as they one by one brought the sweet treat.
Our Independent Living expansion project, the East Residence, surpassed its 50% mark for pile driving completion! Residents received celebratory packs with ear plugs to help with any remaining construction noise.
We understand how hard it is to be away from your loved ones. We thank you for your support and encouragement during this time.
God Bless you all and stay healthy and safe,
Chief Executive Officer
