A St. Camillus resident in Skilled Nursing has tested positive for COVID-19 after displaying lower than usual oxygen saturation levels. The resident is doing well and has been moved to a private room in our dedicated wing created for new admissions and for those we are monitoring with possible symptoms. Due to precautions already in place, we have determined that the resident who tested positive had limited contact with other residents and staff.
As previously mentioned, when there is a single confirmed case in a Skilled Nursing or Assisted Living community, the Wisconsin Department of Health initiates a facility-wide public health investigation. The testing for all of our Skilled Nursing residents will begin today. All employees continue to be tested in our Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living and Memory Care buildings.
We appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this process. Thank you for allowing us to live out our mission to serve the elderly and sick by caring for your loved ones.
Please continue to wear your face mask in common areas (covering your mouth and nose), maintain 6 feet distance from others and frequently wash your hands with soap and warm water. Additionally, please try to limit your trips to the greater community to help keep our St. Camillus community safe and healthy.
We will continue to restrict visitors to San Camillo for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately, this means only caretakers or family members providing medical care will be permitted in. The Family Room (former Private Dining Room)will re-open on July 6th. Please take advantage of this safe space to visit by reserving a time slot by calling the front desk. Our outdoor space is also available for family visits. Please limit the number of visitors and practice social distancing. We all need to do our part to continue keep our community safe.
We continue to adjust our Life Enrichment offerings to meet your expectations. Culinary is exploring different methods of delivering hot food and designing a dining room experience in a safe and cautious manner. The dining room will open in a modified manner. The target date is July 20th. Of course, this is subject to change.
