To our St. Camillus family members:
Last night we received results for one of our Skilled Nursing residents who tested positive for COVID-19. The resident was tested due to lower than usual oxygen saturation levels. The resident is doing well and has been moved to a private room in our dedicated wing created for new admissions and for those we are monitoring with possible symptoms. Due to precautions already in place, we have determined that the resident who tested positive had limited contact with other residents and staff.
As mentioned previously, when there is a single confirmed case in a Skilled Nursing or Assisted Living community, the Wisconsin Department of Health initiates a facility-wide public health investigation. Proactive testing helps address any potential outbreaks early and manage them immediately. The testing for all of our Skilled Nursing residents will begin today. All employees continue to be tested in our Skilled Nursing,Assisted Living and Memory Care buildings.
If your loved one receives a positive COVID-19 result, we will be contacting you via phone. Any resident who tests positive will be required to isolate for 14 days and we will be monitoring any symptoms if they occur. Our regular use of personal protective equipment, increased sanitizing measures and precautions, resident wellness checks and daily employee screens will all remain in effect to stop the spread of COVID-19.
We appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this process. Thank you for allowing us to live out our mission to serve the elderly and sick by caring for your loved one.
