For the month of August, Wacky Wednesdays in Independent Living are dedicated to the Wisconsin State Fair. This week, residents were treated to mini cream puffs topped with powdered sugar! On August 5th, residents enjoyed corn dogs with ketchup and mustard. Next week will be fresh corn on the cob dipped in butter. Residents have enjoyed getting a taste of the State Fair brought right to their doorway!
We are now going vertical! Our East Residence construction site is looking different by the day. A recap of this week's activities include: foundation wall perimeter back fill, parking level 1 foundation walls, slab-on-grade and column concrete placement. You can watch the construction live on our website by clicking here!
We wanted to provide you with an update on our COVID-19 testing. We have received the results from this week’s testing, and one employee tested positive for COVID-19.
Contact tracing was completed per CDC guidelines no residents were exposed. One other staff member had exposure and is also at home quarantining. Per CDC guidelines, significant exposure is a total of 15 cumulative minutes or more, while within 6 feet of a person regardless of mask use. The employee who tested positive is an Accounting staff member.
Today we start another round of testing for staff working in our Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living and Memory Care buildings. We need 14 days with no positive results in order to reduce our testing frequency.
Residents in Assisted Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing will not be tested unless they become exposed, symptomatic or after hospitalizations. New admissions to our Skilled Nursing will continue to be tested.
