Last week our Memory Care had a fabulous wedding show featuring gowns from 1910 to 2006! The various gowns were modeled by St. Camillus recreation therapy, nursing and dietary teams to bring fond memories of weddings to our residents. Each gown modeled was paired with a historical review of both the decade it was worn and the personal details of the original bride and groom including the location of the wedding! Bridget McNair, Research and Life Enrichment Director, was the emcee of the event and played classical music in the background. Thanks to all who made this great event possible!
Congratulations to Courtney Wilson, who was recently promoted to Administrator of Assisted Living/Memory Care and Skilled Nursing. Courtney has worked for St. Camillus since June 2018 and has her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UW-Milwaukee. Courtney was most recently the Director of Nursing in our Skilled Nursing Health Center. Please join us in congratulating Courtney on her well deserved promotion!
We wanted to provide you with an update on our COVID-19 testing. We continue to test our staff working in our Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living and Memory Care buildings every week. We have received the results from this week’s testing, and four employees tested positive for COVID-19.
Contact tracing was completed per CDC guidelines and those with significant exposure have already been contacted and are self-isolating at home. Employees who tested positive include: a nurse in our Jesuit Community, a clerical team member in our Health Center, a Print Services team member and a member of our San Camillo Administration.
Since there are no resident cases, residents in Assisted Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing will not be tested unless they become symptomatic or after hospitalizations. New admissions to our Skilled Nursing will continue to be tested.
