St. Camillus’ Wholistic Approach

At St. Camillus wholistic care means concern for the needs of each individual. Our Wholistic approach to wellness seeks to enrich everyday life and encourages growth for seniors during all phases of life. St. Camillus is committed to caring for the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual needs of our residents.

Staying healthy, active and energetic is the benefit of physical wellness and can be achieved by a regular fitness program. Fitness testing, balance training, group exercise to one-on-one exercise sessions are offered in either of our two fitness centers. Outdoors, a walking path leads walkers through a beautiful wooded area.

St. Camillus Rehabilitation Services is a coordinated effort of our therapists to assist individuals who have experienced an injury, illness or are dealing with pain. Rehabilitation therapy can significantly help people regain and build skills that are important for independence, health and well being.

Our residents and staff have a dedication to intellectual wellness and lifelong learning. History lectures, Shakespeare classes, book clubs and discussion groups are a sample of the many intellectual pursuits offered. Plus, St. Camillus offers two libraries and a computer lab for our residents.

Staying connected, nurtured, engaged and giving back to the community are vital components to our wholistic approach and one’s social wellness. At St. Camillus, you will find a friendly group of people who like many of the same things you do. You will feel right at home attending a variety of social events, trips, special celebrations and concerts.

Opportunities to volunteer, such as the welcoming committee and resident council, afford our residents the ability to truly make contributions to and shape their community.   Our Care Managers and varied support groups provide additional services to best enhance your emotional well being.

Spiritual wellness, viewed by many as the most important aspect of the Wholistic approach, is a sense of belonging to a particular faith or belief system. The St. Camillus community welcomes and serves all faiths. Our Pastoral Care team provides spiritual care and support to our residents, staff and families.

Our campus features five chapels and offers daily Catholic mass, interdenominational services, religious studies and prayer groups to enrich and nurture our residents’ spiritual wellness. The presence of a Jesuit community, and Archdiocesan clergy and the Camillian Order contribute to the spiritual life on campus.
