JULY VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT - Linda & David Fox by Lindsey Bartelt
The July volunteer spotlight article features a wonderful couple (and San Camillo residents!) that has made such a tremendous impact on our campus: David and Linda Fox! Most recently, they have taken on a large amount of responsibilities with opening up St. Camillus’ own gift shop, Charming Treasures. If you are unfamiliar, it is located in the South Residence Lobby where the previous Café’ used to be in Assisted Living. Charming Treasures a is a new and innovative gift shop that features both affordable and upscale items that will appeal to both our campus residents as well as families and visitors from the community. All of the proceeds from Charming Treasures go to the St. Camillus Foundation.
Linda and David worked extremely closely with several employees to research, design and purchase the items that are available in the shop! They put in countless hours to make it a success and continue to work hard alongside with the rest of our Charming Treasures volunteers! Have you come to visit yet? If not, you are missing out! Come check out all of the amazing gifts for purchase. Better yet, we are always open to suggestions and will continuously be bringing in new products.
While they are not at the gift shop, Linda and David do not have a problem staying busy. Linda is also a St. Camillus Eucharistic Minister and enjoys leading Rosary in the San Camillo chapel once a week. She also is a part of the San Camillo choir and Memories in the Making program through the Alzheimer’s Association. David and Linda are also heavily involved with the meal program at the Gesu Parish!
When they are not volunteering, you will more than likely catch David on the golf course (he has been golfing since he was 5!) and Linda will be walking her 3-4 miles a day, taking care of her Mom or talking with her Daughter who lives in Brooklyn, NY!
Thank you to both Linda and David for being such AMAZING volunteers! St. Camillus appreciates you both!
