Hustle and Bustle in the Heart of Wauwatosa
The city of Wauwatosa has so much to offer; strong roots, great community engagement and a ton of activities to join in on! So let’s get right to it and talk about some of the events that are happening!
My personal favorite and right in the heart of Wauwatosa, you will get to enjoy the summer concert series located at Hart Park every other Wednesday evening. The concerts are held rain or shine and feature local, national and international talent. Click here to see the 2018 summer line up! Wisconsin Lutheran College also hosts their Summer Arts in the Park series located between Bluemound Road and Wisconsin Avenue on 89th Street. So grab your lawn chair, your picnic basket and head to one of these awesome, FREE, outdoor concert venues!
One of the best attractions in the Wauwatosa village is the Wauwatosa Farmers Market. Each week, the market hosts around 45 of the best farmers and food producers in the region. While shopping for your fresh produce for the week you can also grab a breakfast from the Blues Egg, coffee from Valentine Coffee Roasters and even leave with a unique piece of art!
The village of Wauwatosa also has a plethora of restaurants to choose from. If you want Chinese, Italian, Jamaican, American; you name it, Wauwatosa has it! Some of my personal favorites are Ristorante Bartolatta, Café’ Hollandar (the brunch will never disappoint…can you say Nutella Waffles?), and Le Reve Patisserie &Café. You will never run out of places to eat and the variety is amazing. You can also join Friends of Hoyt Park as they host a line of food trucks on Thursdays nights from June 7th to August 30th or you can hop over to the traveling beer garden at Currie Park from August 22nd to September 3rd.
Now that I am making you hungry, let’s talk festivals. Each summer, Wauwatosa hosts several memorable festivals!
There is so much awesome hustle and bustle in Wauwatosa and this article is just the tip of the iceberg. There are so many other activities to get involved in! No doubt, Wauwatosa is one of the best cities to live in (but we may be a little biased)….
