Milwaukee’s metropolitan area is a vibrant community, featuring scores of dining, shopping, and entertainment options. The city is home to major American businesses, such as Harley-Davidson and Miller Brewing, but also caters to its large population and its families with affordable housing, hundreds of wonderful parks.
Downtown Milwaukee is a popular destination for dining, professional sporting events, the arts, and a rich, diverse nightlife. Families flock to Milwaukee’s lakefront for exciting summertime events, such as “Summerfest” and a myriad of annual ethnic festivals. The Menomonee River Valley also attracts crowds from Milwaukee County and beyond, due largely to Miller Park, home of the Milwaukee Brewers, and the Potawatomi Bingo Casino.
Brookfield and Elm Grove are popular communities in Waukesha County, just to the west of Milwaukee—and minutes from St. Camillus. Both offer unique opportunities for dining and shopping, while also offering numerous small-venue entertainment options.
The St. Camillus campus lies in Wauwatosa, on the north side of West Bluemound Road and mere blocks from the intersection of several major highways. By car, one could easily head east toward Downtown Milwaukee, or west toward Brookfield and Elm Grove, and arrive in any of these destinations within minutes.
