In-Home Hospice Care Settings

Hospice is a concept of care, not a place of care. Hospice Care can be delivered in several settings including the individual’s or a family member’s home, a long-term care facility, or an assisted living facility — wherever the person calls home.

Hospice Care in the home generally provides the individual with more privacy and control of their environment. They typically feel more comfortable.

When a person chooses to receive Hospice Care services in their private home, the Hospice Team works with the individual and their family members to provide all necessary care — right in the home — from pain and symptom management to emotional and spiritual support.

When an individual resides in a facility, the Hospice Team coordinates all aspects of care with the facility staff.

Wherever the person calls home, the St. Camillus integrated Hospice Team provides:

  • Nursing and Physician Services
  • Social Work Services
  • Spiritual Counseling Services
  • Bereavement Services
  • Volunteer Services
  • Drug and Medical Supplies for symptom control and pain relief
  • Physical, Occupational, Speech, Dietary Therapy Services for relief (palliation) of symptoms
