The St. Camillus Dementia/Memory Care Support Program is based on the conviction that loss of memory should not mean a loss of dignity. Our program supports individuals whose safety and well-being are significantly compromised by diminished memory and declining cognitive function, as a result of Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.
Our caring and highly qualified staff distinguishes our program. The Dementia and Memory Care team supports the emotional, spiritual, psychological and physical needs of residents, with the compassion and respect that they deserve.
Daily routines and activities focus on memory preservation, cognitive stimulation and social interaction. We offer a distinctive and friendly environment, with spacious gathering areas and beautiful studio apartments. For security, we also feature an activated wander-guard system and an enclosed courtyard and patio.

Memory Care and Dementia Statistics
Memory loss and dementia, like many medical conditions, are quite common. Statistics show that an estimated 24 million people worldwide suffer from some form of dementia, and that the number is increasing. These individuals are much more susceptible to personal injury and even death than those not afflicted. In fact, Alzheimer’s is now the sixth leading cause of death in the United States.
However, there is hope.
Because the incidence of this devastating condition has become so common, medical professionals have become increasingly aware of how to treat it. The Assisted Living and Memory Care staff at St. Camillus is highly trained and regularly attends continuing education seminars based entirely on dementia education.
