St. Camillus Fitness Center

It is important to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle at any age. However, developing a routine of regular exercise in the later stages of life can truly help the body combat the negative effects of aging.

Some of our residents may feel that they are simply too old to benefit from the advantages of exercise. At St. Camillus, we believe that nobody is too old for exercise and that everyone can benefit from it. That is why one of our fitness center is located directly adjacent to assisted living.

Our fitness center offers numerous services and amenities, and caters to an individual’s own unique range of ability levels. Fitness testing allows our staff to determine each participant’s ability to engage in various levels of exercise.

Once evaluated, our staff members establish an exercise regimen specifically designed for each individual. The state-of-the-art exercise equipment and supervised sessions ensure that each person undergoes a strenuous and safe workout.

Small group sessions for just general fitness is also available.

Programs offered at the St. Camillus Fitness Center afford every individual the opportunity to use a variety of advanced exercise equipment to improve strength throughout the body. Exercises incorporating balance and endurance help to promote a more active lifestyle, free of falls and full of energy.

Meet St. Camillus Rehabilitation Department and Fitness Center Supervisor

Tim Wagner, PT, earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Marquette University in 2004 and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Marquette in 2006. Tim has provided physical therapy to patients of all ages, primarily in an Outpatient Orthopedics and Sports Medicine setting. He joined the St Camillus Rehabilitation Department in 2009.

As our client’s needs, goals, and physical abilities change, so too should their exercise program. Through providing challenging exercises in a fun and encouraging atmosphere, we can help our clients continue to function at their highest level.”
