O RDER OF ST. CAMILLUS FOUNDATION, INC.

Today. Tomorrow. Together.
Your Donations to St. Camillus Help People in Need.

Your gifts today support the mission today and tomorrow of providing compassionate, wholistic care in a community of hope for the poor, sick, and elderly.  Together, we help the financially poor with more than $1 million a year in charity care for skilled nursing home residents.  Nearly 60% of the residents in our beautiful new skilled nursing home receive this benevolent care.  People are staying healthier longer and living longer.  Some are finding they outlive their resources.  We have an urgent need for your help to serve these people.

Proposed NEW! Home Hospice Program

Each of us has probably experienced the loss of a loved one.  It can be stressful and sad, and yet a spiritual time.  It’s a time many want to spend at home.  With our new Home Hospice, specially trained nurses, chaplains and staff would provide wholistic care to people close to death.  Like St. Camillus himself, we would care not only for the body and the mind, but also for the spirit and the faith of all involved.   Home Hospice care is a huge blessing not only to the person preparing for Heaven, but also for the family.  Home Hospice can relieve some of the stress and worry of providing care and of not knowing if you are doing all the right things at the right times.  It can give you time to focus on the relationship and to prepare for the eventual passing.  You can give these blessings to families in need.  You can give them the gift of time to laugh, cry, make peace, relieve pain and prepare for the journey “home” to Heaven

To receive Medicare reimbursement, we first must start providing Hospice care.  That means we’ll have expenses without being able to charge.  It can take many months without income before the state inspects and approves the program.  In the meantime, we must pay to hire nurses, aides, and social workers, provide medications and supply equipment such as hospital beds.  We estimate start-up expenses to be $400,000 before the program can be self-sustaining.  While we need large gifts to help us start Home Hospice, gifts of any size will help!

"In an age when so many people forget who the person is whence he comes and where he is going, there is an imperative need to arouse in people an ever greater sense of wonder at and gratitude for the greatness of every human life, even of a person who is infirm every life is a priceless resource, because it is a unique, unrepeatable gift from the Lord, the giver of life."
